CSAS - Global Mindset

CSAS Students Work Toward Global Mindset

Spanish Students and CSAS teachers headed to Madrid! At CSAS we talk to our students about the importance of having a global mindset.  There is more to the world than our small microcosm of CSAS or Chattanooga.  We encourage them to get out into the world and gain experiences.  We don't just encourage it but we look for opportunities for them to experience it.  This summer we have a group of Spanish students and teachers in Madrid, Spain.  We are closing out our third year of an exchange with the Gredos San Diego School District there.  We also have reestablished our exchange with Tono, Japan.  We've actually been connected with Tono since the early 90's but this is the first year we will be sending a cohort from CSAS to Japan in some while.  We're excited that we get to travel there this year.  So much good has come from this connection including our two cities recently becoming Sister Cities.  If that isn't enough, Mrs. McCamish and Mrs. Reinisch are in Italy for two weeks fulfilling a grant they wrote with the Public Education Foundation's Fund For Teachers Grant where they are studying healthy lifestyles to bring back to our school.  We are super excited for all of these students and teachers and we can't wait to benefit from all the knowledge and experiences you will return with.  Safe travels!
